Now all we need to start construction in the Surf Coast Cultural Centre is support from other levels of government.
Can you take a few minutes to send an email to government representatives, asking them to support the Surf Coast Cultural Centre?
The easy to use tool on this page will automatically send your email to federal and state MPs, Senators and candidates who will be especially influential in helping to secure the next stage of funding. Your email will be sent directly to the inboxes of: Libby Coker, Stephanie Asher, Sarah Henderson, Dan Tehan, Richard Marles, Barnaby Joyce, Catherine King, Anthony Albanese, and Scott Morrison.
Your email will be most impactful if it’s personal, so while we’ve included some example text, it would be great if you could take a few minutes to explain why the Surf Coast Cultural Centre is important to you.
What does the project include?
Stage one works of the Surf Coast Cultural Centre, to be in Torquay’s Surf City precinct, will include:
The centre will support 800 total long-term jobs for the Great Ocean Road region, helping our communities recover from the pandemic.
Stage one is expected to be delivered in 2024, but we need funding to make it happen. Council is contributing $8 million and the site for the centre, and we need to secure $29 million in grants and pledges from state andfederal governments and private organisations.
How else can I get involved
